Darn Good - A Clothing Mend & Repair App
During my final major project for my Masters programme, I independently spearheaded the development of Darn Good, an innovative app set to revolutionise the world of sustainable fashion. Darn Good's primary goal is to promote eco-consciousness by providing a comprehensive platform with instructional videos and guidance on clothing repair and repurposing.
The longstanding practice of mending clothes to lessen environmental impact has often been facilitated through local meet-up groups in various towns. Yet, a glaring gap existed—an absence of a dedicated app designed specifically for this purpose.
My endeavour in creating Darn Good was a solo venture, commencing with meticulous primary research, encompassing user surveys and interviews, complemented by extensive secondary research from online journals and resources. This amalgamation of insights culminated in a user-centric project, filling the market void with a dedicated social media and educational platform for sustainable fashion enthusiasts.
