Final Concept: Goro Goro Gasha
We decided on a concept that would work as a really great backdrop for the rolling down the hill and boss fight mechanics that were already being developed by our Indie Games Development (IDG) team members.
Inspired by the hugely popular Japanese vending machines and blind boxes.

Narrative, Character and Currency Ideation
Hanni and I were tasked with creating the narrative, or back story that exists in within the game and explains why the action in the game occurs. We decided to mind map ideas within a designated Miro board for our UX development work.

Week 4: The nuts and bolts: Research and Surveys
During our weekly meeting we decided that we were going to mash up two of our favourite ideas from our group rapid ideation sessions. Whilst myself and Hanni set to work on early User Flows and Wireframes, I also continued to research around the topics of replayability and addictive gameplay.

Week 2: Endless Runners - Research
This week I carried out some UX research on the endless runner game genre.

Week 2: Deciding on Approach
I think the best approach for me to reflect on my individual contribution to this module is to write reflectively at the end of each week.

Week 2: Research into Addictive UX in gameplay
This week I began researching addictive gameplay. I wanted to understand what specific elements encouraged repeated play, and more importantly - what leads players to stop playing a game.

Week 1: Team Building and Ideation
Week 2 and we’re fully into the Forming and Storming stages. Ideation is taking place, project management plans are formalised, and we have a team name - Pandamonium!
